It’s been shitty few days. I’m actually handling it all pretty well (I’m even back at school today, go me) but I’m tired and in /so/ much pain.
So, went to UW for my first adult appointment on Monday morning, at 8 AM (it feels like forever ago). I had pure blood hemoptysis both Saturday and Sunday evening and that was the first question I started with when I met my new doc (who I like a lot). And I told her that my children’s doctor had said that if the pure blood hemop continued i would need an embolization.
Boom. “I think you should get one. Today.”
Me “…Uh. What?”
So, she explained what it was, what it entailed, etc. I said I needed to think about it, and went on to the rest of when she was in the room (literally, about an hour). At the end, I said I would do it. Went and got blood drawn to check clotting levels, etc. Came back, talked to the dietician.
Boom. “You need to start testing your sugars 3 times a day for 3 days a month.”
So, she sort of half explained. I had been saying how my blood sugar seemed to drop and I got shaky all the time. So, now I am testing fasting/before dinner/two hours after dinner. Great.
Making the rest of this read more so it isn’t too long.
